Theres a saying that goes like this, “If God said it, then I believe it, and that settles it.”  Before you say amen, let me say, “If God said it, then that settles it, whether you and I believe it or not!”  I don’t mean to sound dogmatic, but that is the truth.  There are some things in the bible that are hard for our finite minds to get ahold of, like the reality of Hell.  But the bible is very clear that “Heaven and Hell are for Real!”   Heaven is the eternal reward for accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  Hell, the bible says, is the eternal punishment for rejecting Jesus Christ.  The bible is also very clear that God is not willing that any should parish but that all should come to repentance (cf. 2 Peter 3:9).  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)  There are present and eternal rewards for knowing the Savior personally, but there are also consequences for rejecting him.  Those consequences for rejecting Him may not always be manifested in this life, but will most certainly be manifested in eternity.  Some descriptive words in the bible for Hell are “outer darkness; weeping and gnashing of teeth; lake of fire; eternal punishment; everlasting fire.”   On the other hand, some descriptive words for Heaven are “no more crying; no more death; no sorrow; streets of gold; all things new; no night; shall reign forever and ever; God Himself will be with them.”   Yes, Heaven and Hell are for Real.   Yes, reward and punishment are for sure.  Yes, many ways lead to Hell.  Yes, only one way leads to Heaven - JESUS!
