The prophet Isaiah said, “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the LORD sitting on a throne” (Isaiah 6:1). Isaiah was not alone is seeing God’s throne - Moses, Daniel, Micaiah and John had glimpses of the throne of God too. “Holy, holy, holy” were always the descriptive words echoed! “The whole earth is full of His Glory!” “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created!” No one can look directly at the Creator of Genesis 1 and simply say it was a nice experience! No one can see God and continue as if everything was normal. Seeing the Lord will change your life is such a dramatic way that our old previous life is dead - dead in a good way - dead to sin and alive to righteousness.
God, our creator has revealed Himself through His creation and His word. You and I have not physically seen the Lord, but we can see Him through the pages of scripture! When we see Him as He is, we too will cry out “holy, holy, holy is the Lord!” We will see our depraved state before a holy God and like Isaiah will come to the conclusion “woe is me, for I am undone!” Undone is not a bad place to be because God will not do anything with us until He has first of all - undone us. We all need the healing touch of Jesus in our lives. Jesus is the cure for the penalty and power of sin. Come to Jesus and be saved from the penalty of sin. Come to Jesus and be free from the power of sin. Let me see Jesus only - only He can satisfy! Have you seen the Lord?! Paul reminds us in Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”
He has revealed Himself to you - just open your heart and let Him in - you won’t regret it - and you will be changed!
