“Though the mountains may be moved into the sea,
Though the ground beneath might crumble and give way,
I can hear my Father singing over me,
‘It's gonna be ok, it's gonna be ok’” - Lyrics, Into the sea
Great song. Great lyrics, lyrics based upon the gospel hope!
It's been said that a person can live forty days without food, four days without water, four minutes without air, but only four seconds without hope.
With all that has gone on, and currently is going on in our world and this country, we need hope that will get us through the day. We need to know - “it’s going to be ok!”
As Jesus approached His last week leading to the cross, He was concerned about His earthly family and His disciples. Their world was going to be shaken! They were going to be tested physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually as never before and Jesus wanted to make sure they knew “it was going to be ok!”
Yes, He was going to be betrayed and arrested, but it was going to be ok. Yes, He was going to be scourged with the cat-o-nine-tails, but it was going to be ok. Yes, He was going to be crucified - but it was going to be ok. Yes, He was going to be buried, but it was going to be ok - resurrection morning was coming!
Yes, there are wars and rumors of wars, but it’s going to be ok. Yes, there are famines, pestilences, and earthquakes - but it’s going to be ok.
Yes, you may be going through the fire right now, but it’s going to be ok.
How do I know? - I’ve read the book - it’s going to be ok! In fact, it’s going to be better than ok, Jesus said there would be a new heaven and a new earth! Jesus said He is going to make all things new -it’s going to be ok!
As a Christ follow you and I are still going to go through stuff, it’s called life - but it’s going to be ok! If you have Jesus, It’s going to be ok!
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” - Jesus. Jesus’ words let you and me know that - it’s going to be ok!
