Peace - do you possess it?

    July 31, 2019

The devil is real.  He is a liar, a deceiver and a destroyer.   He wants to rob you of your peace by luring you into things that will seemingly bring you peace and happiness.   But he knows in the end, they will only bring heartache to you and to those who truly love you.  God is real too.  He is the truth, the life and the way to peace via Jesus Christ!   Jesus came to redeem you.  Jesus came to set you apart for Himself.  Jesus came to bring you peace - body, mind and soul.  Jesus loves, loves, loves you!

He came that you might have joy and experience life more abundantly. Jesus said, “Peace I leave you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (cf. John 14:27)   Jesus said He came to “heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.” (cf. Luke 4: 18) -

“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for YOU!” (cf. 1 Peter 5:7)

Jesus is our only true source of peace and happiness.  He has given us His word and the Holy Spirit to guide us along our life journey -  Life is better with God in the midst.  Lean upon Him and His word -

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.” - Philippians 4: 6-7

Ephesians 2:14 reminds us, “For He Himself is our peace!”

“ Tis a kingdom of peace, it is reigning within, it shall ever increase in my soul; we possess it right here when He saves from all sin, and twill last while the ages shall roll.” (Lyrics, Barney Warren)

“Peace” - do you possess it?!  You can, it is found in Christ alone!

    In His Service,

    Pastor Rodney
