“The end of time”
We prepare and make plans for many things/events in this life. There are several hundred-thousand visitors expected to make their way to Indiana to experience the total solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024 - preparing for an unforgettable celestial spectacle! Those who are residents are planning in other ways too, stocking up and fueling up prior to April 8th in preparation for disruptions of provisions and services for several days due to the influx of people. Some prophecy ‘experts’ are saying this is it - the big day - the end of time. Some of the same ‘experts’ that predicted the Y2K as the big end time event. I don’t make any claims of being an ‘expert’ but I have read the book, the B-I-B-L-E! The bible says, on good authority (Jesus Himself), that ‘of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only! Have they not read the book -the bible, the book containing not just one or two books, but sixty six books in one. The book with the majority of the pages written to tell us of our fallen nature and how to be saved. The book that informs us what it means to be a true follower or disciple of Jesus Christ. It’s book of love. It’s a book of salvation and judgement to come for those that do not know Jesus Christ in a personal way. A book that reminds mankind that he/she needs a heart change! Yes, there will be a time when God calls time to end as we know it and usher in eternity for all eternity - but that day will be on God’s time table and man is not going to figure it out, not even on accident. I believe the whole counsel of God’s word is important but most prophesy ‘experts’ never move off of Daniel or Revelation (both important books of the Bible, but not the only books). I say all that to say this, yes it is wise to plan and prepare for things, but the main thing that we should prepare and plan for is where we are going to spend eternity. The bible is very clear we are all going to spend it in one of two places - heaven or hell - have you read the book! The bible says that He is not willing that any should perish but come to repentance. Oh yes, that day is coming - are you ready? Your day, my day just might come prior to that ‘big day’ the prophesy experts keep predicting. The bible says, “…NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation!”
