The Epilogue and Prologue of Life

    August 1, 2020

    Your personal Prologue and Epilogue.

This too shall end!  You may not see light at the end of tunnel, but remember, this too shall pass!   The storms of this life will pass, all things earthly have an end or Epilogue.  Jesus said that even “heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall never pass away!”  Jesus wants to be with you in those storms via a personal relationship with Him.  God (the trinity) is eternal, and He has made us eternal - all of humankind has an eternal soul.  Your prologue (beginning) really begins with your Epilogue (end) - the end of self and a new life in Christ!  Jesus said “you must be born again!”  You and I begin our spiritual journey now, in this life.  When this life is over, what you and I have done with Christ will determine our Prologue in eternity - an eternity that has no Epilogue.  The bible in the book of Revelation describes the Prologue of eternity for those that have rejected Jesus Christ - “then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.  And anyone not found written in the Book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”  The bible is clear about the certainty of the judgement for those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.  The bible reminds us that “God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:17)

“As I live, says the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.  Turn, turn from your evil ways!” (cf. Ezekiel 33: 11)

The bible reminds us in 1 John 5: 13 “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”   Have you?!  Do you know that your name is in the Book of life?!  You can, accept Jesus Christ by faith and follow Him!

The end of this life (Epilogue) is really the beginning (Prologue)!

    In Christ Alone,

    Pastor Rodney
