Jesus said, “if you would believe you would see the glory of God!”
People are missing life’s “measuring rod” when they choose not to believe.
On the other hand, when you choose to believe your eyes are opened to the glory of God and the purpose for your life! We see the glory of God in nature itself (e.g. moon, stars, trees, oceans, rivers, streams, mountains), which is why the Bible says that mankind is without excuse “for since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made.” (cf. Romans 1: 20)
We see the glory of God in children, each life “fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are Your works…” (cf. Psalm 139: 13-16)
We witness the glory of God in a life that is transformed by the power of Jesus Christ in their life - that miracle of the spiritual new birth!
The Apostles were eyewitnesses to the glory of God - Jesus Christ “who being the brightness of His Glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power.” (cf. Hebrews 1: 3)
John said “and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory! (cf. John 1: 14)
We see the glory of God through scripture, the Bible, from Genesis 1: 1, “In the beginning God created…” to Revelation 22: 21, “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” We see the glory of God when our eyes are opened to the truth that “all scripture is given by inspiration of God” - “for the word of God is living and powerful!’
The bible opens our eyes to the reality of heaven and its glory! The book of Revelation paints this picture: “the city was pure gold…the street of the city was pure gold…the glory of God illuminated it…pure river of water from the throne of God and of the Lamb…no more curse…no night there…no more tears…no more death…no more sorrow…no more pain…”
“Behold I make all things new!”
I pray that you see and experience the glory of God in your life! If not, I pray that the “stone of unbelief would be rolled away” and that you might see clearly for maybe the first time and experience the glory of God and His purpose for you!
In Christ Alone,
Pastor Rodney
