“Dare to believe God for the Impossible in 2020” is a theme I want to personally adopt for this New Year! This theme is not based on feelings, emotions and “I hope so” but founded upon God’s word. Jesus said, “…with God all things are possible.” As a person of faith, as a Christ follower, I am to walk by faith and not by sight. But neither is this theme a “name it and claim it” attitude. It is a theme based upon a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and one based upon “the hope which is laid up for you in heaven.” (Colossians 1: 5) It is a theme based upon “in all things He (Jesus) may have the preeminence.” - that is, Jesus having first place in my life. As I move into 2020, “believing God for the impossible,” I also recognize my part in this covenant relationship. Jesus is supreme, and we (I) must get rid of anything that keeps us (me) from glorifying Christ. Jesus cannot be marginalized, He must have first place in our lives. It must be may daily goal to please Him and honor Him. I pray this New Year as I believe God for the impossible that I “may be filled with the knowledge of His will” and pray that I may “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power!” (cf. Colossians 1: 9-18)
Happy New Year! Dare to believe God for the Impossible in 2020 and may you be filled with the knowledge of His will as you walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him in 2020!
Godspeed!
In His Service,
Pastor Rodney
