Unfortunately for the next three weeks we have made the hard decision to not hold “in-person” worship services due to the increase in the covid outbreak. I am praying for all the shut-ins; those quarantined due to the virus; health care workers; medical responders; police officers; fire fighters; government officials and the church.
What a year!? One of those that attend our congregation shared with me that her sister-in-laws husband, son and father are all in the hospital - different hospitals at that. My heart and prayer goes out to her.
Jesus promised that He would not allow more on us than we can handle, but situations like this really test our faith.
In times like this we must hold firmly onto our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His eternal word. His truth is the anchor for our lives and souls.
The prophet Isaiah foretold 700 years prior to Jesus’ coming, “For unto us a Child is born (fully man), unto us a Son is given (full God); …His government…there will be no end!”
Mankind’s problem is not our humanity but our fallenness!
Aren’t you thankful that Jesus burst onto our world to save us. But we must personally invite Him into our world, our lives. His greatest desire is to journey with you from the cradle to the grave, and yes, beyond the grave to His eternal kingdom!
His name is Wonderful, Counselor, Might God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace! Do you know Him?! You can today!
In Christ Alone,
Pastor Rodney
